Day 1, Monday 4th June
Honfleur
Please make your own way to Honfleur and check-in to your hotel overlooking the quaint harbour of Honfleur. In the late afternoon, you will be met at the hotel by your Australian escort Christine Guille and our local French guide Patrick Leneveu.
After our briefing with Patrick and Christine, we will stroll to the beautiful old harbour for a drink followed by dinner featuring local cuisine.
Day 2, Tuesday 5th June
Honfleur
After breakfast we commence a 2 to 3 hour walk around the old town of Honfleur. After lunch, you will have some free time in Honfleur to visit Eugene Boudin museum and art galleries.
Day 3, Wednesday 6th June
Bayeux
After breakfast, we have a half an hour drive from Honfleur to the stylish town of Deauville on the coast. We will spend a short time in this famous seaside Parisian retreat. We continue on for another short drive and will stop at the village of Beuvron-en-Auge where we will explore one of the most characteristic villages of Normandy.
We will then be treated to a typical Normandy lunch of crepes and delicious cider. After lunch we travel west where we reach Pegasus Bridge, where the initial landing of the Allies occurred during World War II. We then continue on to Bayeux and check in to our hotel in the centre of this famous town.
Day 4, Thursday 7th June
Bayeux
Our first visit this morning is to the Omaha Beach War Memorial. After spending time at this very moving Memorial and museum, we continue on to the artificial Harbour of Arromanches before driving back to Bayeux.
In the afternoon, we have plenty of time to enjoy a stroll in the old streets of this historical town with visits to the splendid cathedral and the famous Bayeux Tapestry.
Day 5, Friday 8th June
Cancale
After a couple of hours driving south west from Bayeux, we reach the coastal hamlet of Genet where we meet our local guide who will lead us on an unforgettable 3 hours walk (7km) at low tide across the Mont-Saint-Michel Bay following William the Conqueror’s steps! Once we have completed our walk we will be taken to our hotel at nearby Cancale.
Day 6, Saturday 9th June
Cancale
After an early breakfast, we drive back to the famous site of Mt St Michel to explore the town and it’s Abbey. After leaving Mt St Michel we drive to Dinan, arguably the prettiest town in Brittany. Here you will have 2 to 3 hours at your own leisure to enjoy a number of art galleries, the very old streets and houses, the castle and of course the cafés and mouth watering patisseries. We return back to Cancale that evening for dinner.
Day 7, Sunday 10th June
Paimpol
After breakfast, we commence an easy 3 hours walk (7km) along the coastal Custom Trail to the Grouin Headland. You will enjoy stunning coastal scenery and an abundance of sea birds. After a gourmet picnic lunch by the sea, we have a 2 hour scenic drive to the delightful seaside village of Paimpol.
Day 8, Monday 11th June
Paimpol
We will enjoy a free morning in Paimpol to wander around this fishing port. We will then board the ferry for a 15 minute trip to the picturesque Island of Brehat where we will walk for approximatively 2 hour (6km) before returning to Paimpol.
Day 9, Tuesday 12th June.
Treguier
After breakfast we have a short minibus drive across the Trieux River where we commence our walk around the Plougrescant Peninsula to the Sillon de Talbert. The scenery as we walk around the peninsula is breathtaking. We’ll check in to our hotel in Tréguier on the Jaudy River for the next 2 nights.
Day 10, Wednesday 13th June
Treguier
This morning we spend walking along the most amazing coastline through numerous hamlets with delightful little gardens.
After a picnic lunch on a picturesque beach, we return to Tréguier for a relaxing afternoon!
Day 11, Thursday 14th June
Ploumanach
After a couple of hours of walking along the pink granite coast, we check-in to our hotel by the beach of Ploumanach. In the afternoon we may have the chance to visit the Seven island Archipelago, one of the oldest and best preserved bird sanctuaries in France.
Day 12, Friday 15th June
Ploumanach
Today is a free day with options to walk to Tregastel, visit Perros Guirec or just free time to swim or relax.
Day 13, Saturday 16th June
Saint Malo
After breakfast we turn back east and drive for 2 hours to the walled city of Saint Malo where we check-in to our hotel for the last night. After lunch, we we’ll do a 2 hour walk around the wall of the city followed by free time to explore. Tonight we have a farewell dinner.
Day 14, Sunday 17th June
The tour arrangements end after breakfast. However, you have the choice of being taken to the local TGV train station for you to catch the fast train back to Paris or transfer to the Ferry to continue on with the optional excursion to visit Guernsey and Jersey
