Split to Dubrovnik Premium cruise

Split to Dubrovnik Premium cruise

From EUR €1,000

Description

A classic cruise along the Croatian Coastline from Split to Dubrovnik. The small ports and harbours of southern Croatia only permit small vessels of up to 50 metres in length, or less, so larger vessels cannot enter most of the beautiful ports that we visit.

The days start with breakfast, but some energetic passengers can have a short walk or a swim before breakfast. Breakfast is often taken under way so we can relax and watch the scenery go by while sipping coffee. On most mornings there is time for a swim in a secluded bay before we arrive at our destination for the day. Lunch will either be taken whilst cruising or shortly after we arrive – we usually cruise for around 4 hours per day. So you can spend your mornings admiring the spectacular scenery, swimming in the crystal clear Adriatic Sea and relaxing on deck.

On several afternoons you can join a guided walk (included) of your destination (Dubrovnik, Hvar and Korčula ) or just explore the towns on your own. In the evenings you can take your pick from the many restaurants, cafes and bars of these old historical towns – It will almost certainly be warm enough to sit outside and enjoy a meal in the open air.

Although our small cruise ship is really comfortable, this is more about the places we visit than the cruise – Think of your vessel as a small moving boutique hotel that means you can wake up in a different place every morning but in a small intimate port that even small traditional cruise ships cannot get close to but where hotel accommodation is extremely hard to find.

Relax and let the captain and his crew (especially the cook) take care of you. During the day you can swim, snorkel, sunbathe, and explore the underworld of the Adriatic Sea. The evenings you have free to find a good restaurant or discover old churches or other historical monuments.

This morning we continue our cruise towards the next destination – the island of Brač, more precisely to the town of Bol, known for its famous Zlatni Rat beach (Golden horn), a natural phenomenon that stands out from the other beaches of Bol with its highly unusual shape. After swimming break and lunch we continue our journey towards Stari Grad on Hvar island, the sunniest Adriatic island. Free afternoon to explore this unique town. The famous Stari Grad Field is the oldest in Croatia and the best preserved example of ancient Greek system of agriculture. Together with the old town it is a part of world heritage protected by UNESCO.
Day 3 - Day 3 - Monday STARI GRAD - HVAR
Our next destination is the town of Hvar, a favourite destination for jet setters from all around the world. After lunch we stop for swimming, relaxing and refreshment in clear, crystal blue sea at nearby Pakleni islands. Arrival to Hvar in the afternoon hours followed by sightseeing of this extraordinary town. Hvar offers many cultural and historical sites (Renaissance cathedral, the oldest communal theatre in Europe founded in 1612, Franciscan monastery, the Benedictine convent famous for their lace listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, Spanjola fortress towering high above the town ...) and many restaurants and bars open late into the night.
Day 4 - Day 4 - Tuesday HVAR - VIS
Early in the morning we cruise towards the little Biševo island to visit the Blue cave, a magnificent natural phenomenon. As sometimes weather conditions can be very unpredictable, the possibility of our visit will depend on those conditions, however you will be notified of this by the crew. Entrance to Blue Cave is to be paid on the spot (approx. EUR 9.- per person). We continue towards Vis, which was a strategic navy harbour due to its unique geographical position and as such closed to the public until recently. Because of its isolation, Vis has a special charm -‘the Mediterranean as it once was’ which makes it really interesting to see. Overnight is in the town of Vis, situated on the northern side of the island, developed near the remains of the ancient Issa, first urban centre in Croatia. If interested, visit the remains of the Roman thermal Place, City museum or simply take a walk enjoying the view of beautiful ''Villae Rusticae'' situated along the coast.

Today, Korčula is the only place in the world where the Spanish medieval knight's game – Moreška is still performed. Upon arrival enjoy a walk through the streets of the old town built in the shape of a fish bone. Enjoy the numerous konobas /taverns, restaurants, cocktail bars or night-club located within and around the city walls. Overnight in port.
