Malaga's fortress palace of the Alcazaba and the Castillo de Gibralfaro are splendid examples of Moorish architecture. But it is in Granada that you can see the most romantic and magnificent expression of the Arabesque style in the glorious Alhambra Palace.

Day 3 - Day 3 Cartagena, Spain
The city’s naval, maritime and historical museums provide insight into the 2,000 years this city has been a major port. It’s now developing into a vibrant tourist attraction. The deep water harbor and walled town were used by Phoenicians, Romans and Moors prior to the Spanish navy. Visit Torres Park and the Castle of la Concepción for the best views in the city.
Day 4 - Day 4 Ibiza, Balearic Islands - Spain
Ibiza is a place where people hang out because, except for the medieval walls, you could almost think it was the Med's version of Key West. But away from the hustle of town, some lovely beaches await.
Day 5 - Day 5 Ibiza & La Sabina, Formentera - Balearic Islands - Spain
Ibiza is a place where people hang out because, except for the medieval walls, you could almost think it was the Med's version of Key West. But away from the hustle of town, some lovely beaches await.La Sabina is a port village on the island of Formentera and the islands only point of access. Once it was little more than a mooring area for fishing boats, it is now a marina with everything necessary for sailing lovers. You can easily take a trip around the island from here, stopping off at one of the often deserted stunning white beaches for a dip in the azure seas. Formentera is much quieter than it's neighbouring Ibiza and is definitely for those who like the gentler pace.
Day 6 - Day 6 Valencia, Spain
Valencia is Spain's third-largest city and one of it's most beautiful. Modern architecture sits side by side with magnificent historic buildings. The city also boasts a long, wide soft sand beach. Make sure you enjoy The Paella, a very famous rice based dish which is complimented with shellfish as well as chicken and pork. There are many variations but whatever one you try it's sure to be excellent as Valencia is it's birthplace.
Day 7 - Day 7 Terragona, Spain
Terragona is home to Spain's second most important Roman site complete with mosaic-packed museums and a seaside amphitheatre. There are many excellent restaurants to be found in the narrow alleyways around the medieval centre. Visit El Serrallo a typical fishing neighborhood where fresh fish is auctioned throughout the afternoon. The city is also renowned for it's extremely fine golden sand beaches.
Day 8 - Day 8 Barcelona, Spain
The capital and cultural hub of the Catalonia region, Barcelona is Spain's second-largest city and one of the Mediterranean's busiest ports. The medieval atmosphere of the Gothic Quarter combined with mosaic-paved Ramblas make the city one of Europe's most beautiful. Art lovers will delight in the Picasso Museum that features more than 3,800 works by the artist.
