Day 1 - DAY 1 Arrive Barcelona, Embark Ship
Arrive in the city of Barcelona and be transferred to your small ship. Enjoy Welcome Drinks and Dinner.
Day 2 - DAY 2 Valencia
FREEDOM OF CHOICEExplore Albufera Natural Park by canoe, then learn to cook the classic Valencian dish, paella. Alternatively go bird-watching through the park.EVENING DEPARTURE/OVERNIGHT
Day 3 - DAY 3 Cartagena
Sail into Cartagena and visit the magnificent Roman Theatre Museum. Discover this historic port city with help from your knowledgeable Expedition Team then spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 4 - DAY 4 Motril, Granada
Today, embark on a full-day tour to Granada, located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. See the world-renowned 9th-century palace and fortress complex, Alhambra. After a tapas lunch, explore the palace of the Generalife, before re-boarding your ship in Motril.
Day 5 - DAY 5 Cadiz, Seville
SIGNATURE EXPERIENCEAt Plaza de la Maestranza and Museum, enjoy an exclusive tour before a private visit to the Flamenco Museum followed by a fiery flamenco show.EVENING DEPARTURE / OVERNIGHTFrom Cadiz, enjoy a full day to explore Seville. Your tour includes visit to the Reales Alcazares, and the Christian Cathedral.
Day 6 - DAY 6 Portimao
FREEDOM OF CHOICEPerhaps enjoy a guided tour of Portimao, including the Old Town and Museum. Alternatively take a 4WD tour through the mountains to the Algarve, including a visit to a local firewater distillery.
Day 7 - DAY 7 Lisbon
FREEDOM OF CHOICEPerhaps board Lisbon’s colourful and iconic tramcars for a ride through the city’s old quarters, sampling pastries and port wine along the way. Or savour the flavours of Lisbon on a guided market tour, sampling treats selected by acclaimed chef Marlene Vieira. Alternatively, take a guided tour to historic Alfama.
Day 8 - DAY 8 Porto
SIGNATURE EXPERIENCEVisit a Portuguese estate, to enjoy a wine tasting before a traditional lunch with a local family.Head to the spectacular wine country of the Douro Valley. Along the way, stop at Amarante, a small town with charming 16th-century houses.
Day 9 - DAY 9 A Coruna
FREEDOM OF CHOICEPerhaps discover A Coruna’s food scene with a tour from pier to local markets, savouring local tapas with fine regional wines. Those feeling more active might like to set off on a bicycle tour, passing by San Anton Castle and the Tower of Hercules.
Day 10 - DAY 10 Bilbao
Today you will dock in Bilbao, where you will enjoy a tour of this fascinating city with its industrial roots. Afterwards, visit the Guggenheim Museum, taking in its unique blend of art and architecture.
Day 11 - DAY 11 Le Verdon, Bordeaux
FREEDOM OF CHOICETravel to World Heritage-listed Bordeaux and enjoy a splendid panoramic tour, followed by a guided walk through Old Bordeaux, including the Place de la Bourse. Alternatively, head to the wine-growing region of Medoc visiting Château Lanessan estate for a wine tasting.EVENING DEPARTURE / OVERNIGHT
Day 12 - DAY 12 Douarnenez, Locronan
Travel to Locronan, one of the most picturesque medieval villages in France. Traces of its golden age are to be found in its houses built during the Renaissance period. See the 15th-century church and learn about Saint Ronan.
Day 13 - DAY 13 Channel Islands, Guernsey
FREEDOM OF CHOICEDuring a walking tour, take in Guernsey’s highlights including Castle Cornet, an ancient harbour fortress. Alternatively, visit the German Occupation Museum and see exhibits including a life-size street, bunker rooms and armoury.EVENING DEPARTURE / OVERNIGHT
Day 14 - DAY 14 Saint Malo, Mont Saint-Michel
FREEDOM OF CHOICEJourney to the island of Mont Saint-Michel for a walk up the steep path to the abbey or visit a Cancale oyster farm for a tasting. Perhaps discover Saint Malo’s colourful history on a tour of the old city, including a cider and biscuit tasting.
Day 15 - DAY 15 Portsmouth, Disembark Ship, Depart London
Disembark your ship in Portsmouth, then be transferred to Heathrow airport.
