This Whitsundays Reef & Relax Superyacht Voyage takes guests to some outer reefs rarely visited by other superyachts. The superyacht Captain has been conducting voyages on this section of Australia’s Great Barrier Reef for many superyacht seasons and he knows all the most treasured anchorages of the Whitsunday Islands. Over 6 nights the superyacht crew on MY Triple888EIGHT will show you the iconic landmarks within the world famous Great Barrier Reef, her iconic beaches, island landscapes and her infamous beauty of the underwater world.

On this superyacht reef and relax voyage guests may choose to just cruise and take in all the scenery and pampering that goes with being a VIP superyacht guest or you may be as adventurous as you wish and join in on hikes to wonderful locations and snorkel at every possible moment. Enjoy all the in-water activities on offer in one of the many bays and beaches we explore or take some you time for relaxation in the Jacuzzi or on the superyachts sun decks.

We visit famous scenic bays and beaches, partake in water play on the superyacht toys, enjoy hikes, explore Aboriginal artworks in Nara Inlet, experience sunsets and sunrises over the Whitsunday Islands and so much more.

Overview
MY Triple888EIGHT is a 29.95mt (98.26ft) Horizon superyacht whose home port is Hamilton Island when she is not cruising the oceans of the Pacific Islands. The owners and crew of this superyacht have been showcasing the treasures of the Whitsunday Islands and her surrounds to visitors for many superyacht seasons, taking them to secret locations so they may see and experience some of the most amazing sights on the World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef rarely visited by others.  Guests can enjoy the most exquisite locally sourced food and fine wines while cruising around the visually mesmerizing islands, beaches and bays as they are individually prepared by our on-board chef and served by the attentive superyacht crew.  With lush bedding, fresh towels and quality amenities throughout, guests can relax and enjoy ultimate satisfaction in comfort. Stabilisers: Brand new $250,000 stabilisers have just been fitted to the superyacht for the ultimate cruising pleasure in all sea conditions and for the best in sleep whilst at anchor. Cruising Speed: She is fitted with twin 1550hp Caterpillar engines that enable her to cruise at 14 knots and reach tops speeds of 20 knots. Interior: The interior of MY Triple888EIGHT is beautifully crafted with Italian wood panelling, cherry wood and white carpets throughout. The attention to detail is immediate on entry. She has an abundance of space and has a larger interior volume compared to other superyachts of similar length and she also boasts the largest Flybridge in her class. Built and designed inside and out by Horizon Yachts MY Triple888EIGHT gives her guests freedom to enjoy a relaxed experience in considered luxury and classic style. Deck: Superyacht Triple888EIGHT offers a spacious aft deck, complete with alfresco dining table and seating perfect for an intimate outdoor meal or cocktail party affair. The entire transom of Triple888EIGHT forms a huge swimming platform, ideal for SCUBA diving, snorkelling, fishing or refreshing dip in the tropical waters of the Whitsundays. The comfortable sun pads located on the bow of the yacht are popular among charter guests as they spot dolphins leaping from our wake or soak up the sun and watch the world go by. It’s the perfect place to relax and admire the sunset with a sundowner in hand. Flybridge: MY Triple888EIGHT boasts the largest Flybridge in her class which offers YOTSPACE superyacht voyage guests a wonderful outdoor area for recreation and relaxation. The semi-covered fly bridge outdoor bar and BBQ area is a favourite reunion spot for guests to gather and enjoy delicious cocktails along with a selection of canapés created by our on-board chef. Guests can admire the 360 panoramic views while relaxing in the Jacuzzi or on the sun lounges on the top deck.

Itinerary



Day 1 - Day 1: Hamilton Island - Stonehaven Bay
Board the luxury Triple888Eight superyacht on Hamilton Island from 11am.If boarding straight from the Airport, a transfer can be arranged.Once all guests are all settled onboard, we begin our 6 night superyacht voyage to our first nights anchorage, Stonehaven Bay, where you may wish to enjoy your very first snorkel, and explore some of the local sights or take a tender ride and navigate the scenic coastline in Triple888Eight’s 700HP 10 meter RIB. Refreshing cocktails and drinks will be provided during our cruise, followed by some relaxation time on the Flybridge sunpads to witness a beautiful Stonehaven Bay sunset and enjoy some drinks and canapes or relax from a nice cozy position in the Jacuzzi hot tub.
Day 2 - Day 2: Hook Island - Butterfly Bay - Maureens Cove - Manta Ray Bay
After a wonderful nights sleep on the reef we wake to a sumptuous breakfast, and then when ready we will depart for the short cruise to the top of Hook Island, where guests will be treated to some incredible sightseeing, secluded coral beaches, snorkeling and hand feed Giant Humphead Maouri Wrasse, Giant Trevally, Coral Trout, Batfish and Fusiliers, to name just a few of the abundant marine life here. Scenic places we will visit today are Butterfly Bay, Maureen’s Cove, Luncheon Bay, Manta Ray Bay and Pinnacle Bay.We will conclude the day with a cruise to Hook Passage where we will anchor for our second night under the stars on the Great Barrier Reef.
Day 3 - Day 3: Whitehaven Beach
Today is the day we will be visiting the silicon sands of Whitehaven Beach. We will plan for an earlier breakfast and depart early morning, and head for Whitehaven Beach. Guests have the option of the short hike to the Hill Inlet lookout, and also a swim on the beach adjacent to Hill Inlet. Other than a swim on the stunning Whitehaven Beach sand, places to visit are in Whitehaven Bay are Haselwood Island and Teage Island.Should you desire to see Whitehaven Beach and the Whitsunday Island from the air our superyacht Captain can arrange for helicopter flights from South Whitehaven Beach if requested. (not included in price)In the afternoon, we will visit Border Island for some snorkeling on the protected reef, which is home to some of the healthiest soft and hard corals in the Whitsundays. The marine life is also abundant due to no fishing allowed. Or you may just wish to sit back and relax with a good book and enjoy basking in the sun as the boat is at anchor.
Day 4 - Day 4: Outer Great Barrier Reef Secret Lagoon
Early morning on day 4 we will head to the outer Great Barrier Reef and spend the night in one of our superyacht Captain’s favourite overnight lagoons. The Triple888Eight crew like to travel further than most, to avoid the crowds. Our superyacht Captain has requested that we do not mention the name of this reef here as currently other yachts do not visit this secret lagoon.Once anchored, you will be taken to some of the Captains favourite snorkelling and dive spots.There is nothing like drinking cocktails while watching an amazing sunset at anchor in a protected lagoon 50 NM from the mainland, without another superyacht or boat in sight. Please note as this is an outer reef and lagoon it may be that the weather prevents us reaching this destination due to weather conditions. If you do make it to this reef please keep it a secret surprise for our next superyacht voyage guests.
Day 5 - Day 5: Outer Great Barrier Reef Secret Lagoon - Hayman Island
On day 5 we will explore the outer reefs and lagoon for most of the day as we do not want to leave this stunning place in a hurry. We will visit remote areas that rarely get seen by other superyacht guests. In the afternoon we will head back to the Whitsunday Islands and anchor around the Hayman Island region to enjoy some star gazing and cocktails before a 5 star gourmet dinner.
Day 6 - Day 6: Hayman Island - Nara Inlet
After you wake at your leisure and enjoy a hot or cold breakfast you may wish to jump back in the water to say good morning to the marine life around Hayman Island. Our superyacht Captain will cruise to Nara Inlet where you may go for an expedition in the tender, and a short hike to look at the Aboriginal cave paintings from the local Ngaro people, and learn about their ancient ancestral history in the Whitsunday Islands. A more energetic hike would be available on day 6 also for those that are keen to climb some mountains.
Day 7 - Day 7: Nara Inlet - Hamilton Island
On our last day some guests may choose to rise early and board the tender for their last snorkel around the eastern side of Hook Island whilst the other guests may choose to have a relaxing sleep in and a late breakfast and just relax on the superyacht for the morning. After breakfast, we usually do a nice slow sightseeing cruise back to Hamilton Island to allow our guests to arrive in time for checking into their Hamilton Island accommodation or their departure flights from the island.Prepare for your departure and farewells to the crew and fellow voyagers.
