ITINERARY CHANGES Our itineraries are updated regularly throughout the year based on customer feedback and to reflect the current situation in each destination. The information included in this Essential Trip Information may therefore differ from when you first booked your trip. It's important that you review this information prior to travel so that you have the latest updates. Due to weather, local conditions, transport schedules, public holidays, political unrest or other factors, further changes may be necessary to your itinerary once in-country. Your group leader or local representative will keep you up to date with any such changes once your trip is underway and has the authority to amend or cancel any part of the trip itinerary if deemed necessary due to safety concerns. , For sailing trips the itinerary will be subject to change depending on weather conditions. Your skipper will make the final decision to ensure safety at all times. Generally daily sailing time would not exceed 6 hours. Please note that we will endeavour to sail at all times but there may be times during the trip that we will use the sails and motor or just the motor. During the summer months in Europe, we are unable to pre-book a mooring berth at the marinas. Therefore, depending on availability, the place we stay the night may not be as per the advertised itinerary., OPTIONAL SCUBA DIVING We offer two optional scuba diving activities on Days 3 to 6 of this trip. If you are interested in joining either of these optional scuba diving activities, please inform your Intrepid skipper on Day 1 of your trip. Scuba Diving for Beginners Feel the freedom of weightless movement in a safe, guided environment — no prior scuba experience required. This activity is conducted at the scuba dive centre, located a short walk from Alonissos’ port. A minimum of two customers is required for this activity to go ahead. Scuba Diving for Certified Divers Explore the National Marine Park of Alonissos, a Mediterranean sanctuary. Swim along cliffs, explore reefs, and encounter a variety of local marine species, including groupers, Mediterranean barracuda, amberjacks and octopus. Dives are conducted in small groups with experienced instructors, ensuring safety and personalized attention. Additional transport costs will apply, which covers pick up and drop off from the catamaran and transport to the dive location. The exact dive location will be advised on the day. Participation requirements You will need to complete a medical questionnaire, provided by the scuba diving operator, declaring your fitness to dive. Alternatively, you can present a valid medical clearance from your GP, dated within the last year, confirming your fitness to dive. You must have a good level of fitness to join either scuba diving activity. The scuba diving operator will make the final assessment of your suitability to participate. For the certified divers scuba diving activity, if you have completed fewer than 50 dives, you must have completed a dive within six months prior to joining this trip. Certified divers that have completed more than 50 dives must have completed a dive within the last 12 months. Where activities are considered medium or high risk, we work with operators whose safety and credentials we have sighted and assessed. Although it is possible that you may find the same activity cheaper with another operator on the ground, we cannot vouch for the safety or quality of that operator. Medium and high-risk activities not listed above have not been assessed by us and as such our staff and group leader or local representative are unable to assist you with organising these activities. Activities that contravene our Responsible Travel policies are also not listed. Please remember that the decision to partake in any activity not listed is at your own discretion and risk.
