Atlantic Archipelagos (Le Soleal)

Atlantic Archipelagos (Le Soleal)

From $8,460 AUD

Description

Set sail on an unforgettable 16-day expedition cruise aboard Le Soléal. We are proposing an all-new transatlantic circuit that explores stunning archipelagos.

Your trip will begin in Brazil, where you will embark in the port of Recife.

Your first port of call, subject to obtaining the approvals, will be Fernando de Noronha. Located off the shoreline of Brazil, this small paradise offers a perfectly preserved wild setting, with long secret bays bathed in aquamarine waters. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the archipelago is home to many birds as well as to extraordinary marine life moving among the coral reefs.

You will then discover the Bissagos Islands, which belong to Guinea-Bissau and are recognised as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. This archipelago of over 80 islands, most of which are uninhabited, has managed to maintain its intimacy. Nature runs its course here, between lush vegetation and white-sand beaches. You will set off to encounter local communities who still live in accordance with their ancestral customs.

Further west, you will visit Mindelo, the cultural capital of Cape Verde, where the famous morna singer Cesaria Evora was born.

Your cruise will end in the Canary Islands, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife: a lively and cosmopolitan city combining modernity and authenticity.

Please Note: your voyage prices include Panoramic tour of Santa Cruz + flight Tenerife/Paris.

Overview
Vessel Type: Luxury Small Ship Length: 142 metres Passenger Capacity: 264 Built: 2013 Sailing under the French flag, this magnificent yacht of only 132 staterooms and suites, with balconies, joined in 2013. You will be enchanted by the contemporary decor inspired by the luxury yachting world, with fluid lines and a modern colour scheme combining natural wood with shades of grey and white. A refined ambience is enhanced by the quality of the workmanship and materials: white Corian counters in the lobby contrast with the warmth of leather to recall a boat's hull, while the central scuplture of enamelled pieces takes its inspiration from the sea.  In the loungebar, the carpet picks up a tennis stripe theme symbolising a certain idea of cruising, one synonomous with French elegance and a chic seaside spirit.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Day 1 RECIFE
Founded in the 16th century, the city of Recife on Brazilメs north-east coast is a vibrant mix of old and new. Stroll around the historic centre to discover elegant pastel-coloured mansions, the Baroque cathedral of São Pedro and the azulejos frescoes in the church of São António, not far from the neoclassical theatre of Santa Isabel. On the waterfront, the long beaches of Pina and Boa Viagem beckon with emerald water and fine sand under shady coconut palms, while modern business blocks rear skyward to form a striking backdrop.
Day 2 - Day 2 AT SEA
During your day at sea, make the most of the many services and activities on board. Treat yourself to a moment of relaxation in the spa or stay in shape in the fitness centre. Depending on the season, let yourself be tempted by the swimming pool or a spot of sunbathing. This day without a port of call will also be an opportunity to enjoy the conferences or shows proposed on board, to do some shopping in the boutique or to meet the PONANT photographers in their dedicated space. As for lovers of the open sea, they will be able to visit the ship’s upper deck to admire the spectacle of the waves and perhaps be lucky enough to observer marine species. A truly enchanted interlude, combining comfort, rest and entertainment.
