Guests are able to take advantage of a number of lavish vantage points including a sundeck, a forward observation lounge, a ship’s lounge and an alfresco bar. The ship’s naturalist presents interpretative information on plasma screens and, an internet café enables convenient communication with the outside world. A popular venue on any North Star cruise, the lower deck dining room offers the ultimate in comfort and uninterrupted vista – large panoramic windows ensure that guests never miss any of the action, even when they are enjoying the ‘finest in fine dining’. All cabins feature stylish décor, en-suite facilities, in-house entertainment and satellite telephones. The Explorer Class staterooms and the River Class cabins offer king size beds that can be converted to singles and the Ocean Class twins feature roomy single beds. Multiple expedition boats provide guests with greater opportunity to do “what they want, when they want” and, to add yet another dimension to adventure, most cruise options feature an onboard helicopter!The purpose built TRUE NORTH is able to explore the upper reaches of shallow river systems – guests need only step out of their cabins to experience wilderness and, the latest in computer controlled motion stabilizers ensures a comfortable ride. TRUE NORTH II TRUE NORTH II features a more intimate experience with just 22 guests and a combined saloon/lounge. The dining salon features a stunning ‘boardroom’ setting and the revered True North dining experience. There is also a sundeck, outdoor bar deck and a dedicated sports deck. All cabins feature ensuite or private facilities with in-house entertainment and satellite telephones. The Explorer Class staterooms and River Class cabins offer queen-size bedsand the Ocean Class cabins feature roomy bunk-configured singles. Day 1 - Night 01 Welcome Aboard
Start your adventure by joining our coach in Kununurra, before arriving on board the magnificent True North to enjoy the luxuries of our renowned galley. Then, enjoy a relaxing overnight journey to the remarkable Lynn River.
Day 2 - Day 01 Cape Domett and Lynn River
Seize your chance to catch the elusive barramundi followed by an invigorating afternoon swim. End the day with a unique ‘Raft Up’ experience in one of the secluded river systems within the Cambridge Gulf.
Day 3 - Day 02 Elsie and Eric Island, Atlantis Bay, and Berkeley River
Begin your day with bottom fishing around Elsie or Eric Island, or take a peaceful walk along the river that flows from Atlantis Bay. In the afternoon, explore the majestic Berkeley River with its cascading waterfalls, rich fishing spots, and scenic vistas, offering a perfect blend of adventure and serenity.
Day 4 - Day 03 Glycosmis Bay, Barra Bay, and Jade Creek
Start your day with a scenic hike and a refreshing swim at the top of Glycosmis Bay. Enjoy barra fishing in the aptly named Barra Bay, followed by a leisurely walk and fishing at Jade Creek, where you might reel in Mangrove Jack and Fingermark Bream, making for a perfect day of exploration and relaxation.
Day 5 - Day 04 Northeast Bay, Frenzy Creek, and Drysdale River
Visit isolated art panels in Northeast Bay and enjoy the challenge of Mangrove Jack fishing in Frenzy Creek. As the tide rises, venture to the back of the Drysdale River for billy tea and damper, coupled with the opportunity to catch the elusive barramundi, offering both adventure and a taste of the Kimberley’s culinary traditions.
Day 6 - Day 05 Tree Beach and Lawley River
Discover remarkable depictions of Gwion Gwion art before embarking on an exceptional barramundi fishing expedition in the unspoiled tributaries of the Lawley River. This day offers a deep dive into the cultural and natural wonders of the region, enriching your Kimberley Untold experience.
Day 7 - Day 06 Swift Bay, Winyalkin Island, Institute Island Group, and Cassini Island
Marvel at ancient rock art in the morning, then try your hand at oyster picking during low tide. The afternoon promises thrilling fishing for pelagic species around the islands north of Cape Voltaire, where the waters teem with life and the scenery is nothing short of spectacular.
Day 8 - Day 07 Kartja Island Bay and Purrungku Island Bay
Spend the day at a newly discovered destination, enjoying a picturesque picnic amidst untouched nature. Explore the serene back creeks and fish for Golden Snapper in the crystal-clear waters of these secluded bays, offering a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure.
Day 9 - Day 08 Inside Boongaree Island and Roe River
Discover the legendary story of Boongaree as you fish the secluded creeks at the back of the island. Navigate the hidden channels of the Roe River, where saltwater meets freshwater, and witness the abundance of crocodiles and birdlife in their natural habitat, offering a thrilling encounter with Kimberley’s wildlife.
Day 10 - Day 09 Sampson Inlet, Kuri Bay, and Sheep Island

Day 11 - Day 10 Bali Impediment, Glenelg River, and Gibson River

Day 12 - Day 11 Secure Bay and Walcott Inlet / Charnley River

Experience the thrill of crabbing in pristine tidal waters, explore striking dolerite rock formations, and soak in the untouched beauty that surrounds you. Conclude your day with a peaceful rafting experience amidst this rugged wilderness.
Day 13 - Day 12 Waterfall Reef and Cygnet Bay
Enjoy a visit to Australia’s oldest Pearl Farm followed by an adventure to the tide-driven Waterfall Reef - a natural wonder that will leave you in awe. Later, explore Strickland Bay and ‘The Graveyard’, where you’ll engage in a fishing experience rich with the history of Japanese pearl divers who once prospered in these waters. This day promises both natural beauty and cultural immersion.
Day 14 - Day 13 Transfer to Broome
Arrive in Broome for an early morning coach transfer to your accommodation or connecting flights, and know that our crew is already looking forward to the next opportunity to welcome you aboard the True North.
