Sailing from Bridgetown to picturesque Dominica and on to Reykjavík, you’ll deepen your understanding of our oceans with lectures and workshops on marine biology, conservation and astronomy. Learn from your Expedition Team, observe wildlife out on deck, explore hidden ecosystems in the Science Center, and contribute to Citizen Science projects.   
Rest and relaxation 
Take time to unwind, observe the calming effects of the ocean, and enjoy your ship’s facilities. Relax in the hot tub, infinity pool or sauna. Indulge in an optional spa treatment or work out in the gym. And you can channel your inner artist in workshops, or capture your picturesque surroundings with the help of our onboard photographer.

With space for only 276 guests, you are sure to get to know many of your fellow travellers. You will share stunning sights and memories of a lifetime long after returning home. The Norwegian word Fram means ‘forward’ – lifting expectations of the voyage at hand. MS Fram was built in 2007 with one mission in mind - to bring her guests closer to nature, wildlife and unforgettable experiences. As well as offering numerous lounges in which to relax, our more active guests can use our well-equipped gym. Meanwhile, on deck, our Jacuzzis guarantee you surreal memories when passing the towering icebergs of Antarctica or Greenland.

Day 1 - DAY 1 Beautiful Barbados
Discover UNESCO-listed treasures in Bridgetown    Your science and relaxation cruise begins in Barbados, the easternmost island in the Caribbean. Fully independent since 1966, Barbados is a young, English-speaking country rich in colourful history.    You'll meet your comfortable expedition ship MS Fram in the island's capital Bridgetown – home to the UNESCO-listed Parliament Buildings and the Garrison Historic Area, with 70 original buildings and forts from the 18th century.  Before we embark, take time to settle into your cabin and meet your Expedition Team. Over the coming days, you’ll be completely immersed in the sights, sounds and science of the sea.
Day 2 - DAY 2 Explore ‘Nature Island’
 Witness nature's raw power in Dominica   Dubbed ‘Nature Island’, Dominica is a mountain paradise by the sea. There are more mountains, volcanoes, and jungles here than anywhere else in the Lesser Antilles. Portsmouth is the perfect base to explore the natural wonders of Dominica. Nearby are the headland of La Pointe and the historical remains of 18th century Fort Shirley, both part of Cabrits National Park. The tropical forest, swamps and sandy beaches of Cabrits National Park are excellent places for nature walks and birdwatching. To tour the island and explore its highlights, join one of our optional excursions.
Day 3 - DAY 3-14 Towards Lisbon
Enjoy your last few days of serenity at sea As you cruise towards Lisbon, enjoy these days at sea to embrace all you have experienced onboard and take the time to relax with your fellow travellers. Make the most of the lectures available, spend time reading and relaxing, or just gazing out onto the horizon. Soak up the tranquillity of the natural wonders all around. Connecting with nature is not only good for our health, but also the health of the planet. As you bond with its beauty, you’ll discover changes you can make to protect its fragile wellbeing.
Day 4 - DAY 15 Cosmopolitan Reykjavík
Discover Iceland's modern capital   Your oceanography and relaxation cruise comes to an end in Reykjavík, the northernmost capital in the world.  If you have time, this small city is the perfect size for a walking tour, packed full of art, culture and history. Take a stroll down Laugavegur – the main shopping street – to the striking Hallgrímskirkja church. Or why not visit one of its many art galleries and museums. You can also visit Iceland’s famous Blue Lagoon, one of the true natural wonders of the world. Experience the blend of silica, algae and minerals in its geothermal waters.If you want to discover more of the city, why not join one of our optional Post-Programmes.
