Itinerary

Day 1 - Day 1 Arrive Kotor, Embark Ship
Arrive by mid-afternoon at Tivat Airport and be transferred to your cruising yacht, the brand new MV Lady Eleganza. Designed and built in Croatia specifically for the Adriatic Coast, it is perfect for nestling into small harbours and sheltered coves. Lady Eleganza awaits in the spectacular setting of the Bay of Kotor, which is framed by dramatic sheer cliffs that hug the walled town below. This evening, you’ll enjoy a tour of the town.Stay: Eight Nights, MV Lady Eleganza
Day 2 - Day 2 Dubrovnik
The fabled ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’ is your destination today. You will arrive at this majestic fortified city in the mid-afternoon, and then explore it on a tour. The UNESCO World Heritage-listed Old Town of Dubrovnik, a fairytale world of palaces, monasteries, churches and museums enclosed within the spectacular medieval city walls, is the highlight. Its maze of narrow limestone-faced streets, pressed between age-old stone buildings, is mesmerising, and you will be in awe of its splendour as day turns to night.
Day 3 - Day 3 Slano
SIGNATURE EXPERIENCEAfter viewing the medieval ramparts of Ston, you’ll take a short walk along the coast to an oyster farm for a delicious tasting before returning to Slano for your overnight stay. After a refreshing swim from the platform on the Lady Eleganza’s stern that allows you to leap straight into the ocean, you will sail to the port of Slano, set in a sheltered tree-lined harbour. From there you will transfer by coach to the town of Ston. It’s known for the massive 14th-century fortifications that linked it with neighbouring Mali Ston – and for its thriving oyster industry.
Day 4 - Day 4 Korčula
The ship leaves this morning for the pine-clad island of Korčula, where Marco Polo is said to have been born, and which in modern times has become renowned for its olive groves and vineyards. In the spirit of the great Venetian explorer, you will visit the house in which it is thought he was born, and weave a path through Korčula’s bewildering medieval labyrinth, past palatial homes and through elegant piazzas. The centrepiece of the Old Town is the 15th-century St Mark’s Cathedral. It is built of glowing local limestone and contains many artistic treasures within, including paintings by the Venetian master Tintoretto.
Day 5 - Day 5 Opuzen
The picturesque town of Opuzen lies 12 kilometres upstream on the Neretva River. You will arrive here just after lunch, and then travel by coach over the border to the fascinating city of Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Its most famous landmark is the beautiful World Heritage-listed Stari Most (‘Old Bridge’) which arches high above the Neretva. It was impeccably rebuilt to its original medieval specifications after being severely damaged during the fierce Balkan conflict in the 1990s, which occurred after the breakup of Yugoslavia. You’ll visit it and much more on a walking tour of the town. After a fascinating tour, dinner will also be a highlight as you dine in a local restaurant with traditional entertainment.
Day 6 - Day 6 Bol
From Opuzen you’ll sail in the morning to the lovely island of Brač, with its imposing cliffs and blanket of lush pine forests. Your destination is the town of Bol, a traditional fisherman’s village which has turned into a major tourism hub. Its main claim to fame is the astonishing Zlatni Rat (‘Golden Cape’), a beach comprised of tiny white pebbles that changes its shape with the vagaries of the wind and the waves, and thrusts into the turquoise sea like a spearhead. You have the chance to visit or swim at the beach, which is Croatia’s most famous. You will also explore the town, which is particularly notable for its 15th-century Dominican monastery and museum.
Day 7 - Day 7 Trogir
SIGNATURE EXPERIENCETravelling from the ship by Zodiac, you will land to a warm welcome from a local family on their private island property. There is time for an invigorating swim, and possibly to throw a fishing line into the Adriatic in the hope of a catch for lunch. Regardless of your success at fishing, your hosts have prepared a sumptuous traditional lunch which you can savour while enjoying lovely sea views.MV Lady Eleganza departs Bol, and in the mid-afternoon you will sail on to Trogir, a medieval walled town with a distinctly Venetian flavour.
Day 8 - Day 8 Split
The tiny island of Trogir’s impressive collection of Renaissance, baroque and Romanesque buildings has earned it a World Heritage listing. Bridges connect it to the mainland and the larger island of Čiovo. Its buildings hunch together as if for protection, with the imposing tower of St Laurence’s Cathedral rising 47 metres above the townscape. After your tour, and a morning stop for a swim from the Lady Eleganza, set sail for vibrant Split, where you take an evening walk around an historic city filled with Roman-era landmarks.
Day 9 - Day 9 Disembark Ship, Depart Split
After breakfast, bid a fond farewell to the Lady Eleganza before you are transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
