Itinerary

ITINERARY CHANGES: Our itineraries are updated regularly throughout the year based on customer feedback and to reflect the current situation in each destination. The information included in this Essential Trip Information may therefore differ from when you first booked your trip. It is important that you print and review a final copy prior to travel so that you have the latest updates. Due to weather, local conditions, transport schedules, public holidays or other factors, further changes may be necessary to your itinerary once in country. The order and timing of included activities in each location may also vary seasonally to ensure our travellers have the best experience. Your tour leader will keep you up to date with any changes once on tour. For sailing trips the itinerary will be subject to change depending on weather conditions. Your skipper will make the final decision to ensure safety at all times. Generally daily sailing time would not exceed 6 hours. Please note that we will endeavour to sail at all times but there may be times during the trip that we will use the sails and motor or just the motor. During the summer months in Europe, we are unable to pre-book a mooring berth at the marinas. Therefore, depending on availability, the place we stay the night may not be as per the advertised itinerary. FISHING ON SAILING TRIPS: You will have the option to fish on most of our sailing trips. The boats in Europe do not have fishing rods, so you will need to bring your own if this is an activity you would like to take part in. Fishing will always be at the discretion of the skipper and dependent on the marine regulations of the area you are sailing in.

Day 1 - Dubrovnik
Dobro Dosli! Welcome to Croatia. Your adventure begins with a group meeting with your skipper at 3 pm at 'Pizzeria' next to the ACI Marina reception, Dubrovnik. The first port of call is then the local supermarket to buy supplies for your trip as a group. If you have any special dietary requirements, please make sure you notify us at the time of booking so we can accommodate your requests. Then, it's time to set sail to the charming islands of Elafiti, where you’ll pull up in a small bay and snorkel in crystal-clear waters. Elafiti is made up of three main islands: Kolocep, Lopud and Sipan. Kolocep is known as the green island because of its 100 year old pine groves, carol-trees, olive groves and citrus trees. There are also two villages to explore here – Donje Celo and Gornje Celo. Lopud has spectacular parks and beaches and is one of the best developed touristic islands in the Dubrovnik area. The island is also home to several monasteries and ruins to explore. Sipan is the largest of the island group with a long history full of stories and legends and considered one of the jewels of the area. If possible, we highly recommend you arrive a couple of days early into Dubrovnik as this trip only has one night in port before setting sail. The undisputed jewel of the Dalmatian Coast, Dubrovnik is a beautiful white stone town surrounded entirely by city walls. Although it experienced devastation during the war in the early 1990s, the old town – with its tiled roofs and stone buildings – remains as charming as ever. Extensive restoration has taken place to return it to its original splendour, and even today repairs are still being undertaken. With the sparkling water of the Adriatic in the background, Dubrovnik is picturesque, full of character and can easily be covered on foot. After boarding the boat, leave the mainland shores and sail the open waters of the Adriatic to the hidden paradise of the Elafiti Islands.
Day 2-7 - Sailing the Dalmatian Coast
Set sail for the Insta-worthy island of Mljet (four to five hours), where ancient legend says shipwrecked Odysseus lived for seven years. Today the island is a haven of lush national park, forests and tiny villages. It’s had quite the chequered past, and has been inhabited by Illyrians, Romans, Slavs and Avars. Catch your reflection in inky blue lakes on a guided tour through the national park. Wander beneath cool pine forests, through epic chasms and gorges, and discover ruins such as the remains of an Illyrian fortification, a Roman palace and a 5th-century church. In the evening maybe kick back with a glass of local wine – an important local industry, which you might have guessed from the fields and vineyards that cover island.
Day 8 - Split
After breakfast on the yacht, the trip comes to a close at around 10 am. There are no activities planned for today. Please do not book a flight out of Split that leaves earlier than 3 pm today, in case our arrival is delayed due to weather conditions.
