Itinerary

Day 1 - Day 1 Hamburg
Individual arrival in Hamburg. The MS HAMBURG awaits you in the port of the Hanseatic city, where embarkation begins at 2 pm before the ship sets course for Scotland at around 5 pm.
Day 2 - Day 2 Day at sea
Use the first day on board to explore the ship extensively.
Day 3 - Day 3 Scrabster (Scotland)
Scrabster is a small harbor town in the north of Scotland. The first settlements and a small harbor were already established in this region in Viking times. Today, Scrabster is still an important transshipment point for the fishing industry. Together with your tour guide, you will explore the small town on a walking tour (included).
Day 4 - Day 4 Torshavn (Faroe Islands)
The Faroe Islands captivate with breathtaking landscapes, fantastic hiking trails and untouched nature. Only 50,000 inhabitants and over 70,000 sheep live on 1,396 km2. The colorful capital, Torshavn, combines tradition and modernity and can be explored on a guided city tour. The name literally means “Thor's harbor” and stands for the history of this region.
Day 5 - Day 5 Day at sea
Keep an eye out for seabirds and whales that frequent these waters in the summer months.
Day 6 - Day 6 Akureyri (Iceland)
Akureyri is often referred to as the capital of the north in Iceland. Situated on the beautiful Eyjafjördur, the small town is a good starting point for exploring the sights of northern Iceland. A bus tour (included) takes you to the unique Myvatn area.
Day 7 - Day 7 Thingeyri (Iceland)
The remote Westfjords offer breathtaking views of dramatic fjords, mesas plunging steeply into the sea and untouched North Atlantic vegetation. Explore the Westfjords on a bus tour to the Dynjandi waterfall (included), the highest waterfall in the region.
Day 8 - Day 8 Reykjavik (Iceland)
Reykjavik, the lively capital of Iceland, has a lot to offer. In addition to its sights and natural charm, the city is known for its abundance of galleries, museums, boutiques and bars. On the “Golden Circle” bus tour (included), you will explore three of Iceland's most popular sights: Thingvellir National Park, the Geysir geothermal area and the Gullfoss waterfall.
Day 9 - Day 9 Grundarfjordur (Iceland)
The Snaefellsnes peninsula is often referred to as “Iceland in miniature” because its diverse landscape reflects almost all of Iceland's characters. Together with your tour guide, you will explore an 8,000-year-old lava cave (included).
Day 10 - Day 10 Day at sea
We head towards Greenland via the Denmark Strait. The Norse settlers used this route over 900 years ago to reach Greenland.
Day 11 - Day 11 Prince Christian Sund
One of the most impressive fjords in Greenland is Prins Christian Sund. Surrounded by imposing mountain massifs, you will encounter the first icebergs here.
Day 12 - Day 12 Qaqortoq (Greenland)
Qaqortoq is picturesquely situated in a bay. With its colorful houses and the huge icebergs floating in the bay, Qaqortoq is one of the most beautiful towns in Greenland. During a visit to the local tannery (included), you will learn more about the tanning process and other Greenlandic Inuit traditions.
Day 13 - Day 13 Paamiut (Greenland)
Paamiut is a small settlement on the west coast of Greenland with around 1,500 inhabitants. On a short hike (included), you will explore the breathtaking surroundings of the small settlement together with your tour guide.
Day 14 - Day 14 Nuuk (Greenland)
Nuuk, the capital of Greenland, has around 17,000 inhabitants and combines tradition with modern urbanity. Visit the sights of the city as part of a city tour (included). The tour includes a visit to the National Museum, where the 500-year-old mummies from Qilakitsoq are on display.
Day 15 - Day 15 Sisimiut (Greenland)
With around 5,600 inhabitants, Sisimiut is the second largest town in Greenland. On a short hike (included), you and your tour guide will explore the 4,000-year-old hunting grounds just outside the town.
Day 16 - Day 16 Ilulissat/Disko Bay (Greenland)
Today we reach Ilulissat in the legendary Disko Bay. Ilulissat lies on the Ilulissat Icefjord, on which a vast number of gigantic icebergs float. A boat tour (included) takes you to the mouth of the Ilulissat Icefjord. Here the fjord is so shallow that many of the larger icebergs run aground and cause a backwater. The experienced captain navigates the boat around the icebergs while you enjoy the impressive natural spectacle. Together with your guide, you will also explore the ice fjord from the shore on a short hike (included).
Day 17 - Day 17 Søndre Strømfjord (Greenland)
