Description

Our 3-night itinerary follows 3 of the 4 inhabited islands of the archipelago, reflecting the exciting history of their successive settlements: San Cristobal, Floreana and Santa Cruz. But we also land on 2 virgin islands: the exquisite crown jewel of Santa Fe and the popular South Plaza (both with land iguanas and huge cactus trees).

Greater safety on-board Safety on-board (and during the programmed activities) is always our highest concern. Itinerary

Day 1 - Day 1 Arrival at San Cristobal Airport (SCY) & Lobos Islet (San Cristóbal)
Upon arrival at the San Cristóbal Airport, travellers passthrough an airport inspection point to make sure that noforeign plants or animals are introduced to the islands, andto pay the park entrance fee of $100 (unless it has beenprepaid). A guide will meet you, help you collect your luggage, and escort you on a short bus ride to the harbour. The Lobos Islets beach harbours a colony of Galapagos sealions. As in other colonies in the archipelago, you canapproach nurturing females within a few metres. In thebreeding season this colony is also visited by territorialmales, defending and mating the harem on their part of thebeach. This low islet is home to more than just Galapagossea lions. Two other emblematic species breed here: maleblue-footed boobies and great frigate birds who try toimpress the females (and tourists) with clumsy dances, heaving their striking blue feet or blowing up theirballoon-sized scarlet pouches. During the breeding season, the uffy and hungry chicks cry for food, and when theirwings get strong enough, they will learn to y.
Day 2 - Day 2 South Plaza & Santa Fé
Popular South Plaza is not to be missed! This bizarre ‘Jurassic islet’ is the best place to see the emblematic ‘Galapagos dragons’, which crawl across it.Santa Fé is another crown jewel of the Galapagos, where the pale Barrington land iguana and practically every other creature are unique to the Galapagos or this island alone.
Day 3 - Day 3 Chinese Hat & Dragon Hill (Santa Cruz)
Floreana offers some of most spectacular snorkelling sites, such as Champion Islet. Galapagos sea lions will probably be waiting to play with you. From the dinghy, birdwatchers can amplify their growing spot lists with the almost extinct Charles mockingbird. The Asylum of Peace hike goes past a mesmerising cave and visits a fascinating freshwater spring. La Loberia beach is an ideal spot to enjoy the ocean, as well as the sea lions that reside there.
Day 4 - Day 4 Charles Darwin Research Station & Transfer out to Baltra Airport (GPS)
Although the great majority of Galapagos visitors comehere to observe and appreciate natural wonders, it is alsointeresting to learn about how the protection and conservation of the islands are carried out. The main attractionsare the National Park information centre, the Van StaelenExhibition Hall, the Breeding and Rearing Centre for youngtortoises, and adult Galapagos tortoises in captivity.Assisted by the naturalist guide and some crewmembers, the dinghy will bring you and your luggage to Baltra Airport, where we will take the shuttle back to the airport.
