Description

Our classic 4-night route to southeast Galapagos anchors at the most paradisiacal bays and lovely beaches. Some of these oldest islands are true crown jewels that make you an eye-witness of evolution. Many (sub) species had enough time to transform into emblematic figureheads, which differ from island to island. Moreover, the open water passages only take 4-6 hours instead of long overnight navigations; our stable catamaran mostly floats at sheltered anchorages, which highly contributes to a restful sleep.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Day 1 Flight to Baltra Airport & Dragon Hill (Santa Cruz)
Arrival at Baltra Airport and transfer in. You will have to pay your Galapagos National Park entrance fee and your luggage will be inspected. Thanks to the successful breeding programme, Dragon Hill is still populated by the largest wild population of the Galapagos land iguanas on Santa Cruz.
Day 2 - Day 2 Rabida & Chinese Hat
Upon landing on this remarkable red beach, a large bachelor colony of Galapagos sea lions will usually welcome you.Though recently born out of fire, the volcanic islet Chinese Hat does not appear to be any more inhospitable than Bartolomé and lunatic Sullivan Bay. This tiny, rusty-coloured islet is just beginning to sprout.
Day 3 - Day 3 Prince Phillip's Steps (Genovesa) & Darwin Bay (Genovesa)
Not only because of its historical English name (Tower), Genovesa has a royal touch. Follow in the footsteps of Galapagos lover Prince Philip and visit this favourite birding spot with largest breeding colonies of red-footed.This compact site in the heart of its flooded crater shows the extremely varied coastal ecosystems of Galapagos in miniature; nearly too much for a single day.
Day 4 - Day 4 Bartolomé & Sullivan Bay (Santiago)
This tiny volcano islet is just recently born out of fire. Enter its wild romantic setting of spatter cones and craters, and see the most famous panorama of the Galapagos.Sullivan bay is incomparable to any other visitor’s site; setting foot at the recently solidified lava flow is like landing on the moon!
Day 5 - Day 5 Highlands (Santa Cruz) & Transfer to Baltra Airport
Santa Cruz offers excellent opportunities for viewing wild Galapagos giant tortoises, roaming through pastures in the agricultural zone and in the transition zone of adjacent El Chato Tortoise Reserve.Assisted by the naturalist guide and some crew members, the dinghy will bring you and your luggage to Baltra, where we will take the airport shuttle.
