Day 1 - DAY 1 Depart from Warren, RI
Embark in Warren, RI, a friendly coastal community and home to Blount Small Ship Adventures. Relax onboard as you begin your cruise through Narragansett Bay, offering postcard-perfect views of rugged cliffs, classic lighthouses, and gentle cobalt waves so lovely that National Geographic named it one of the Best Adventure Destinations. Tonight you’ll arrive in Cuttyhunk, MA a quiet island outpost at the tip of the Elizabeth Islands off the coast of Cape Cod.
Day 2 - DAY 2 Nantucket Island, MA
Nantucket Island, MA welcomes you this morning with its iconic Cape Cod charm. Begin your day on an optional guided tour of Nantucket’s pristine beaches, fishing ports, old-style lighthouses, elegant mansions and bogs bearing brilliant red cranberries. Later this afternoon, enjoy leisure time to explore the Nantucket Whaling Museum, or stroll through the brick-lined streets of downtown Nantucket lined with historic clapboard homes and local shops. This evening, a short cruise carries you to Martha’s Vineyard, MA.
Day 3 - DAY 3 Martha's Vineyard
Enjoy a full day on Martha’s Vineyard, a laidback summer getaway loaded with colonial charm where several U.S. Presidents have vacationed. On an optional tour, visit Edgartown, home to the Vineyard’s most famous lighthouse; West Tisbury, a “typical New England village”; Oak Bluffs, featuring colorful gingerbread cottages; the Gay Head cliffs, and much more!
Day 4 - DAY 4 New Bedford, MA
Discover New Bedford, MA, known as “the Whaling City” and featured in the 1851 classic novel Moby-Dick by Herman Melville. Connect with the people of the waterfront in a unique and personal way with 2 optional tours today: Learn about the city’s history during an optional walking tour, beginning at the New Bedford Whaling National Historic Park; or, join an optional tour to Lees Wharf, an authentic oyster farm cultivating and farming native oysters. A staple of coastal towns for centuries, oysters are nutritious and an important part of the marine ecosystem. This afternoon enjoy free time to stroll the cobblestone streets and peruse the many galleries and shops. Tonight, local fishermen introduces you to “A Fisherman’s Life.”
Day 5 - DAY 5 Newport, RI
Arrive this morning in Newport, RI. An optional tour takes you down spectacular Ocean Drive past the opulent Gilded Age Mansions. See Rosecliff Mansion where the 1974 version of “The Great Gatsby” was filmed and visit The Breakers, once owned by the Vanderbilt family. Or, tour Newport from the water on a 2-hour sail aboard America’s Cup Charters and relax aboard a classic 68’ 12 Meter yacht.
Day 6 - DAY 6 Block Island, RI
Block Island, RI has been named one of The Nature Conservancy’s “12 Last Great Places in the Western Hemisphere.” With over 40% of its land dedicated to conservation, the island offers endless beaches and supreme sailing opportunities. An optional tour introduces you to gorgeous Mohegan Bluffs, where green hills plunge toward crashing waves. Or, enjoy an Eco-kayaking tour.
Day 7 - DAY 7 Warren, RI
Today before disembarking in Warren, RI, pass scenic Prudence Island, RI. This small island is home to a thriving oyster regeneration project created by Captain Luther H. Blount in 2000, and today remains funded by his foundation.
