Itinerary

Day 1 - DAY 1 Warren, RI & Block Island, RI
Board the Grande Caribe in Warren, RI. Enjoy a light lunch before arriving in your first port of call, Block Island, Rhode Island where a down-to-earth attitude welcomes all. This distinct island has an almost mystical quality to it, drawing back visitors again and again to its 17 miles of serene beaches, bluffs and beauty. A range of activities from sunrise to sunset becomes an outdoor enthusiast’s delight with pristine trails and reefs, a national wildlife refuge, and scenic terrain. Docked just a short walk from great restaurants, beaches and shops, you can explore the island by foot or by moped, a popular way to get around here.
Day 2 - DAY 2 Block Island, RI & Martha's Vineyard, MA
After breakfast onboard, a complimentary bus from the vessel will take you to Ballard's Beach and Bar. Enjoy a half-day at Ballard's or organize your own adventure – fishing, birding, hiking, biking or joining an optional eco-kayak tour with a local guide. Return to our small ship by 1:30 and prepare to set sail for Martha's Vineyard where you will feast on a classic New England clamboil before having the evening on your own. The “Vineyard” is a summer colony known for celebrity sightings as much as its diverse terrain, people and lifestyle. Filled with harbor towns, gingerbread houses, sandy beaches and more than 40 different kinds of farms, including oyster, blueberry and dairy farms; the Vineyard is a veritable playground for food, nature and culture. Ocean side walks along bountiful beaches adorned with innovative sand castles will leave you smiling, especially if you are lucky enough to catch one of their magical sunsets.
Day 3 - DAY 3 Martha's Vineyard, MA & Newport, RI
Join a beach bus to Oak Bluffs or an optional tour of the island, visiting Edgartown, home to the Vineyard’s most famous lighthouse; West Tisbury, a “typical New England village”; Oak Bluffs, featuring colorful gingerbread cottages; and the Gay Head cliffs. Or perhaps you will choose to do something completely unique like a farm trail tour. Either way, you will see why celebrities, presidents and even a famous fictional shark chose to visit the island repeatedly. This afternoon we set sail for Newport, RI where we will dock at historic Fort Adams. After dinner, experience Newport nightlife brimming with restaurants, bars, shops and music.
Day 4 - DAY 4 Newport, RI & Warren, RI
Newport RI is known for its unspoiled beaches, Gilded Age mansions, America’s Cup races and world-class yachting. Called “America’s First Resort,” it’s an ocean front destination replete with local art, restaurants, and history. You may choose to visit one of the famed Newport Mansions where the 1974 version of “The Great Gatsby” was filmed. Walk the famed cliff walk, stroll Newport beach, or tour the Tennis Hall of Fame. Later, return to Warren RI where you will disembark after your authentic New England Islands getaway.
