Free Polar Travel Information Morning Tea

August 16, 2016 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join Expedition Leaders Annie Inglis and David (Woody) Wood for an insight into what it’s like to travel in the Polar regions.  Annie and Woody have over a hundred Polar voyages between them and have been leading expeditions for Peregrine and Quark Expeditions for the last 9 years. Come and explore this spectacular landscape of rock and ice, home to a rich range of breath-taking wildlife.

Polar trips take you to the most remote parts of our world – a terrain ruled entirely by nature. See walruses, penguins and polar bears playing in untouched surrounds, and the magnificent natural wonders of fjords, icebergs and the aurora.

Our tours to Antarctica take you from cruise ship to small boat and then onto land where few – if any – have trodden before. Trips through the Arctic are no easy feat, made possible by the nuclear-powered icebreaker that is often the highlight of many trips. The air may be cold and the environment harsh, but after getting your fill of the sights and sounds you’ll have our luxury ships to retreat to. With well-trained and responsible leaders, your polar ventures will be informative, exhilarating and most of all, life-changing.
