Description

In times past, an Indian Ocean crossing was a sailor’s rite of passage, a truly daunting task on a wooden sailing vessel. Experience the historical journey yourself as you sail 4,550 nautical miles aboard expedition ship Coral Geographer. This Indian Ocean crossing offers a rare opportunity to navigate one of the world’s great oceans in the wake of famed explorers like Dirk Hartog and Willem de Vlamingh.

After an epic adventure of four voyages through the Small Islands of the Indian Ocean, Coral Geographer will bring the season to a close as she sails east in a southern arc from the island of Zanzibar off the African coast to arrive on Australian shores at Fremantle.

This 19-night ocean passage allows you to settle into the rhythm of life at sea. Onboard, guest presenters and storytellers will be your only diversions as you share the waves with migratory seabirds and marine life. Mingle with crew aboard a working expedition ship, share likeminded company with fellow travellers and take time to relax with a good book on the deck.

If you relish the adventure of an extended ocean crossing, we invite you to join us for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
