Itinerary

Day 1 - DAY 1 | NICE/FRANCE
Departure 07.00 pmSpend the day sunbathing, enjoy the fresh wind breeze, and relax into the day!
Day 2 - DAY 2 | DAY BENEATH FULL SAILS
Climbing the rigging, untying ropes, setting sails – today is all about sailing. Time to lean back and relax in the deck chair and watch the passionate crew hoisting the sails by hand.
Day 3 - DAY 3 | CALVI/CORSICA
Arrival 08.00 am, Departure 06.00 pmCalvi has something enjoyable to suit every taste. Romantics can take a walk through the old town and the view from the fortified walls is not to be missed. A stroll through the town's streets brings you to the colorful, lively lower town with its bars and exclusive cafés. Anyone who enjoys a walk on the sand will love the town's long beach. To the east, sheltered by the highest mountains in Corsica, a lush green wild garden has grown around Calvi, filled with olive groves and orange trees. In the La Balagne region in the interior, you can discover hidden picturesque villages which show you the traditional side of Corsica and, displaying the idiosyncratic pride on the island, there is scarcely a road sign that is not written in the Corsican language.
Day 4 - DAY 4 | BASTIA/CORSICA
Arrival 08.00 am, Departure 01.30 pmHe could, Napoléon Bonaparte once said, recognize his home island by the smell with his eyes closed. And indeed – as soon as the windjammer approaches Corsica, the sea breeze mixes with the spicy scent of the macchia, which covers the island like a green carpet. Sun, wind and sea have shaped the diverse island, where high peaks alternate with fertile valleys, rugged cliffs with gentle beaches. The port city of Bastia radiates a lot of Mediterranean flair. Its lively center is the square Saint-Nicolas, which – like the pretty old town at the harbor – can be easily reached on foot.
Day 5 - DAY 5 | SANREMO/ITALY
Arrival 08.00 am, Departure 01.30 pm
Day 6 - DAY 6 | MARSEILLE/FRANCE
Arrival 08.00 am, Departure 01.30 pmMarseille is the oldest and second largest city in France boasting the country's most important port and is like an enormous amphitheater on the Golfe du Lion looking out to the Mediterranean. Europeans and Africans have rubbed shoulders here for over 2600 years and the cultures mix like the different fish in a Bouillabaisse. With its imposing town houses, 'La Canebière' is the central boulevard leading to the old port where a lively fish market takes place every day. Marseille is a town in flux: The notorious old district of Panier has long since been cleaned up, and in 1995, the multicultural metropolis saw work begin on Euroméditerranée, the largest urban development project in Europe. Marseille was the European Capital of Culture in 2013.
Day 7 - DAY 7 | PALAMÓS/SPAIN
Arrival 08.00 am, Departure 06.00 pmWide sandy beaches, clear water, sheltered rocky coves and plenty of sunshine – it's no wonder that tourism is one of Palamós' mainstays. The other important industry in the small Costa Brava town of 20,000 inhabitants has traditionally been fishing. Every afternoon, a fleet of fishing boat moors on the quay of the marine port – next to the pleasure boat harbor with its pretty yachts – and takes the day’s catch up to the auction hall. Palamós is also the perfect starting point for cultural excursions: Medieval Girona, with its walkable city walls, and Salvador Dalí's hometown of Figueres, are not far away.
Day 8 - DAY 8 | BARCELONA/SPAIN
Arrival 08.00 amBarcelona revels in contrasts. Many enthuse over the beautiful elegant squares and boulevards, while others look for medieval romance in the Gothic quarter. Some love the artistic treasures in the Picasso Museum or the Joan Miró Foundation, but for most people Barcelona is the capital of Catalan Art Nouveau and its glory is epitomised in the spectacular Palau de la Música. At every turn you encounter the playfully opulent creations of architect Antonio Gaudi. His exuberant fantasies are evident in the numerous houses, idiosyncratic parks and the famous uncompleted Sagrada Familia cathedral which he created.
